The 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 6500 has two recalls, the more serious being a brake pressure sensor that can leak fluid into the brake pressure switch, causing an electrical short that may start a fire while the truck is moving or parked.
The second recall is a follow-up to a prior brake repair: a jumper wire harness installed as part of an earlier fix was assembled without protective tape, leaving the wires exposed to damage. If those wires are damaged, the power brake assist can fail, requiring significantly more pedal force to slow the truck and raising the risk of a crash.
