Rounding out the recalls, the engine control module on certain vehicles was calibrated with an incorrect speed limit, allowing the truck to travel faster than its tires are rated to handle. Sustained speeds above that rating can cause a tire to fail suddenly, which on a heavy-duty truck of this size can mean rapid loss of control.
