The 2020 Chevrolet Tahoe has 4 recalls, the most serious including a fuel system defect where a missing pressure regulator can crack the fuel pump and cause a fuel leak that may ignite near a heat source.
On the brake and drivetrain side, certain Tahoes equipped with a 5.3-liter engine, 3.08-ratio rear axle, and four-wheel drive have a driveline-protection sensor that can activate unexpectedly, causing the brakes to pull hard to one side without warning. A separate transfer case defect on four-wheel and all-wheel drive models can cause front or rear wheels to lock up, raising the risk of losing control. There is also a tire concern: Continental tires on certain vehicles may have been over-cured during manufacturing, which can cause the sidewall to crack or the tread to separate from the belt, leading to a sudden blowout.
