The 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe has 2 recalls, both affecting four-wheel drive models and both carrying the risk of sudden loss of vehicle control.
The first involves the braking system on vehicles equipped with a 5.3-liter engine, a 3.08-ratio rear axle, and four-wheel drive: a faulty sensor can trigger the driveline-protection system unintentionally, causing brakes to apply on one side and pulling the vehicle sharply to one side without warning. The second involves the transfer case, where a fault can cause front or rear wheels to lock up unexpectedly, raising the risk of a crash.
