The 2005 Dodge Magnum has 6 recalls, the most serious being a fire risk from a loose battery cable connection at the bulkhead that can ignite the instrument panel, and a Takata airbag inflator defect where both the driver and front passenger airbags can rupture in a crash and send metal fragments into the cabin.
The remaining recalls involve seatbelt anchor failures. In the rear, a spot weld on the floorpan reinforcement may be missing, which can allow the rear seatbelt anchors and child seat anchors to pull free in a crash, leaving rear passengers unrestrained. Up front, the shoulder belt's adjustable turning loop bolt may not be properly tightened, which can cause the shoulder belt to separate in a crash and fail to hold the occupant.
