There is also a separate concern on certain E-250 units converted by New England Wheels where the lift's positioning input cam can fail during operation, allowing the platform to rise higher than the vehicle's floor level. When that happens, a wheelchair user rolling off the lift toward the vehicle interior can tip forward and fall.
