The 2010 Ford Escape has 3 recalls, with two involving fuel leaks that can lead to a fire if an ignition source is nearby, and one where the transmission may not hold the vehicle in Park.
The fuel system concerns both stem from the Fuel Delivery Module, which can develop cracks that allow fuel to escape. One of these recalls applies only to vehicles with the 3.0L engine. On the transmission side, a retention pin in the automatic transmission may not have been properly installed, which can prevent the park pawl from engaging when the shifter is moved to Park, leaving the vehicle free to roll.
