1999 FORD F-350 SUPER DUTY Recalls — Canada & USA

The 1999 Ford F-350 Super Duty has 4 recalls, the most serious being a mispositioned battery cable clip that can allow the cable to rub against the air conditioning compressor pulley, short to ground, and start an engine compartment fire. The parking brake on certain trucks may not hold the vehicle stationary on a steep grade, which raises the risk of rollaway when parked. On dual rear wheel Super Cab models, the jack stored under the rear seat is too large to stay secured and can become a loose projectile during a sudden stop or crash. Trucks equipped with the 7.3L diesel engine also have a recall for a camshaft position sensor that can fail and cause the engine to stall without warning.
