The 2019 Ford F-350 has 4 recalls, the most serious being two front and rear axle defects: a front axle wheel end yoke that may not be properly welded can affect steering control, and a rear axle shaft on trucks with electronically locking differentials can break and cause the vehicle to roll even when shifted into Park.
On the engine side, trucks equipped with an engine block heater carry a fire risk. Water and road contaminants can work their way into the heater cable's splice connector, corroding it over time. When the heater is plugged in, that corrosion can create a resistive short that overheats or melts the surrounding wiring. There is also a seating concern: certain trucks with manually adjustable front seat recliners may have a recliner mechanism that was not assembled correctly, leaving the seat back weaker than it should be and less able to hold an occupant in place during a crash.
