The 2020 Ford Fusion has 3 recalls, the most serious affecting plug-in hybrid models, where the battery energy control module can be damaged by excessive voltage and either cut drive power or cause a fire.
The engine block heater, when plugged in, can crack and leak coolant onto its own electrical connections, creating a short circuit and a fire risk. That recall covers vehicles equipped with an optional block heater. On the visibility side, a software issue can cause the rearview camera to display a blank image when reversing, reducing the driver's view behind the vehicle.
