3 recalls across 2 model years
The Ford Police Interceptor Sedan has 3 recalls spanning 2013 to 2016, with the most serious being a rear suspension toe link that can break on 2013 SHO Performance Package models, causing sudden loss of stability and increasing the risk of a crash.
The 2013 model year also has an electrical concern specific to vehicles upfitted with a Crown North America auxiliary battery in the trunk, where the wiring connecting that battery to the vehicle's electrical system can be misrouted or improperly secured, creating a potential electrical fault. On 2016 models, the exterior B-pillar trim on the driver and front passenger doors can work loose and separate from the vehicle while driving, becoming a road hazard for surrounding traffic.
