3 recalls across 2 model years
The Ford Police Interceptor Sedan has 3 recalls covering 2013 and 2016 model years, with the most serious being a rear suspension toe link on 2013 vehicles that can break suddenly and cause the vehicle to lose stability and become difficult to control. This suspension recall applies only to 2013 models and does not require repair on vehicles already fixed under an earlier campaign.
The 2013 model year also has an electrical concern specific to vehicles upfitted with an auxiliary battery by Crown North America: the wiring connecting that trunk-mounted battery to the vehicle's electrical system may have been misrouted or not properly secured, which can create an electrical fault in the system.
The 2016 model year has a separate structural issue where the exterior B-pillar trim on the driver and front passenger doors may not be properly attached. If the trim separates while driving, it can become a road hazard for other vehicles.
