1997 FORD PROBE Recalls — Canada & USA

The 1997 Ford Probe has two recalls, both concerning the same issue: a spring inside the timing belt tensioner can break and catch in the timing belt, causing the engine to stall without warning. If this happens while driving, the engine shuts off and the vehicle loses power, which can be hazardous in traffic or at highway speeds.
