Two recalls involve the fuel and engine electrical systems. A short circuit in the engine wiring harness can cause the electric fuel pump to run and fuel injectors to open unintentionally, creating a fuel delivery situation that can lead to fire. On trucks with the 2.9-litre V6 engine, a nylon fuel return line near the fuel pressure regulator can crack and leak fuel, which can ignite if it contacts any nearby ignition source. The third recall affects trucks with power lumbar seat adjustments: the seat wiring runs under the cushion springs, where it can wear through over time and short circuit, potentially starting a fire in the seat cushion or trim.
