The 2025 Ford Transit has 6 recalls, the most serious being a brake failure risk where the brake pedal can disconnect from the booster pushrod, leaving the driver with no braking ability.
The brake pedal issue stems from a missing cotter pin that is meant to keep the pushrod attached; without it, the pedal loses its connection to the braking system entirely. Note that this particular brake concern does not affect the Transit MPV model. On the engine side, connecting rod and bearing components can fail internally, causing the engine to seize or stall and cutting power while driving; this issue is shared with certain F-150 and Explorer models, and on the Transit it is limited to vehicles equipped with the 3.5L engine. There is also a wheelchair restraint concern affecting Transits converted by Rollx Vans: QRT-Deluxe and QRT-Max wheelchair securement systems may not hold the chair in place, allowing it to shift during travel. Finally, a software issue can cause the rearview camera image to freeze or fail to appear when reversing, reducing visibility behind the vehicle.
