Summary
The Genesis GV60 has 10 recalls covering 2023-2025 model years, with the most serious affecting 2023 all-wheel-drive vehicles where rear axle shafts or driveshafts can fracture, cutting drive power to the wheels and raising the risk of a crash. The front passenger seatbelt on 2023 models has a separate recall where the automatic locking retractor can malfunction in two ways: it may prevent the belt from fastening or extending at all, or it may stay locked after use so the passenger cannot put it on. Both conditions leave the front passenger unrestrained in a crash.
Two software-related display issues affect 2023-2025 vehicles. The instrument panel can fail to show any information at startup, including the speedometer, warning lights, and fuel gauge, leaving the driver without critical readouts. The rearview camera can also go dark while reversing, reducing the driver's ability to see what is behind the vehicle. Both of these issues were identified across the full 2023-2025 model range.
There is also a trim concern spanning all three model years: the stainless-steel molding along the top of the windshield can come loose and detach while driving, becoming a road hazard for other vehicles. On 2023-only examples, an additional version of this trim attachment issue was filed separately, confirming that early production was particularly susceptible.
