4 recalls across 9 model years
The Harley-Davidson FXLRST has 4 recalls spanning 2022 through 2026, with the most serious being a 2025-2026 rear brake line that can rub against the body control module, wear through, leak fluid, and cause a complete loss of rear braking.
The 2022-2024 model years have a front brake line routing issue where the line can contact the fuel tank, wear through, and leak brake fluid, leading to loss of front brake function. These same years are also subject to two related rear shock absorber recalls: a mounting tab on the rear shock pre-load adjuster can break, and the adjuster can then contact and damage the rear tire, causing rapid tire pressure loss and loss of control. Prior repair attempts on earlier Softail models did not fully resolve this shock adjuster issue, which is why it appears across overlapping year ranges on this model.
