The 2023 Honda Accord Hybrid has 3 recalls, all centered on the same serious risk: a sudden loss of drive power while driving that raises the risk of a crash.
Two separate issues can cause this loss of power. The transmission may have been built incorrectly and can fail to deliver power to the wheels. Separately, a software error in the hybrid control module can cause the module's processor to reset while the vehicle is moving, cutting drive power without warning. Prior repair attempts did not fully resolve the software issue, which is why it appears across more than one recall filing.
