The 2016 Honda Accord has 4 recalls, the most serious being a battery sensor housing that can let water in and cause an electrical short, raising the risk of a fire.
A separate concern involves the front passenger seat sensor, where the airbags may deploy unexpectedly during a crash, increasing the risk of injury. On the fuel system side, two recalls address fuel pump failures that can stall the engine while driving. One of these affects only vehicles equipped with the 3.5L V6 engine, where particulates can build up inside the pump and reduce its performance. The other covers a broader range of Honda and Acura models and involves outright pump failure. Both can leave the vehicle without power while in traffic.
