The 2018 Honda CR-V has 5 recalls, the most serious involving the electronic power steering system, where a dislodged magnet can cause the steering to actively pull in the wrong direction during a sharp turn, and a passenger seat sensor that can trigger the airbag at the wrong time in a crash.
The fuel system also has a recall: the low-pressure fuel pump inside the tank can fail and stall the engine while driving. On the safety equipment side, the front seat belt buckle can develop interference between the buckle channel and the release button, preventing the belt from latching and leaving the occupant unrestrained in a crash. There is also a compliance recall involving the certification label on the driver's door, which lists incorrect weight ratings and tire size information; an improperly sized tire can wear unevenly or blow out.
