The 2022 Honda CR-V has 5 recalls, with the most serious affecting hybrid models: a 12-volt battery cable routed outside the body frame lacks a fuse and can short circuit or catch fire in a crash.
Two other recalls also apply only to hybrid trims. A front driveshaft can fail unexpectedly, causing sudden loss of drive power or allowing the vehicle to roll away when parked without the parking brake applied. There is also a passenger seat sensor that can cause the airbag to deploy unintentionally in a crash, raising the risk of injury. On the steering side, the electric power steering sensor can fail and cause steering effort to spike suddenly, making the wheel harder to turn without warning. A label recall rounds out the list: the certification label on the driver's door shows incorrect weight ratings and tire size information, which could lead to an ill-fitting tire wearing unevenly or failing at speed.
