Summary
The Hyundai Entourage has 6 recalls covering the 2007–2008 model years, with the most serious being an ABS control module defect on 2007 models where moisture causes a short circuit that can start a fire even while the vehicle is parked.
The 2007–2008 model years share two additional issues worth noting. Front lower control arms on both years can fracture, causing the suspension to give way and leaving the driver without vehicle control. The secondary hood latch on both years can corrode and bind in the open position, meaning if the primary latch gets released while driving, the hood can fly up and block the driver's view. On 2007 models specifically, road salt can also corrode the front control arms to the point of failure, which overlaps with the broader control arm concern but was separately identified for that year. There is also a wiring concern limited to 2007 vehicles with adjustable brake pedals, where the stop lamp switch wiring harness can rub against the steering column joint, wear through its insulation, and cause a short that knocks out the brake lights, stalls the engine, or prevents the vehicle from starting.
