The 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe has 4 recalls, the most serious including a hood latch cable that can corrode and leave the secondary latch disengaged, allowing the hood to fly open while driving and block the driver's view.
Two recalls address the same underlying issue on front-wheel-drive Santa Fe Sport models with the 2.4-liter engine: the right front axle shaft can fracture, cutting power to the wheels and, if the vehicle is parked without the parking brake applied, allowing it to roll away. There is also a brake system concern involving the anti-lock brake control module, where an electrical fault can cause an engine compartment fire whether the vehicle is parked or moving.
