The 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe has 4 recalls, the most serious including a hood latch cable that can corrode and bind, leaving the secondary latch disengaged so the hood can fly open while driving, and an anti-lock brake control module that can cause an engine compartment fire while the vehicle is parked or in motion.
Two recalls involve the Continental Crosscontact LX tires in P235/65R17 size fitted to certain vehicles. Damaged sidewall cords can cause a bulge, gradual air loss, or sudden tread separation, any of which can lead to a loss of vehicle control. These tire recalls cover the same underlying defect and should be treated as one issue to resolve.
