What can fail
The rear suspension lower spring seats may not be securely attached to the shock absorbers and can slide down the shock absorber. This prevents the rear springs from supporting the vehicle body at normal height.
What the fix does
Dealers will inspect the rear shock absorbers. If they are from the suspect production batch, the shock absorber and spring seat assemblies will be replaced.
