The 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4XE has 3 recalls, the most serious involving two separate fire risks: internal engine debris that can cause engine failure and a high-voltage battery that can fail internally, in either case potentially starting a fire while parked or driving.
The engine debris issue can also cut drive power without warning, leaving the vehicle unable to accelerate normally. The battery fire risk is independent of driving, meaning the vehicle can ignite even while sitting parked. A third recall involves a software error introduced through an over-the-air update that disrupts the hybrid management system and can cause a sudden loss of drive power, raising the risk of a crash. All three recalls are specific to the plug-in hybrid variants of this model.
