The 2018 Karma Revero has 8 recalls, with the most serious involving crash protection failures: the driver's side door may have a cracked internal support bar that reduces side-impact strength, and the side curtain airbags have multiple defects that can prevent them from deploying correctly in a rollover or side crash. On the airbag side, the rollover sensor system may not be enabled at all, meaning curtain airbags can fail to trigger when the vehicle rolls over. Separately, the rear connection between the curtain airbags and their inflators can pull apart during deployment, leaving the bags only partially inflated and reducing protection against occupant ejection. Both issues affect the same crash protection system, and prior repair attempts did not fully resolve the problem across all affected vehicles. There are also two visibility recalls: the driver's side exterior mirror uses convex glass instead of flat glass, which makes following vehicles and objects appear farther away than they actually are, raising the risk of misjudging distance when changing lanes or reversing.
