The 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque has 4 recalls, the most serious involving the mild-hybrid electrical system, where a DC/DC converter fault can cut drive power without warning while the vehicle is moving.
The passenger front airbag carries its own concern: the cushion can tear during deployment, meaning it may not properly restrain an occupant in a crash and can also release hot gases that cause burn injuries to anyone in the front passenger seat. Two recalls address rear visibility. The center console touchscreen can go blank at startup, preventing the rearview camera image from appearing at all. Separately, water can enter the rearview camera housing and cause the image to either disappear or show a distorted picture. Both leave the driver without a clear view of what is directly behind the vehicle when reversing.
