The 2018 Lincoln MKX has 5 recalls, the most serious being brake and airbag concerns: both the front and rear brake hoses can rupture and leak fluid, extending stopping distances, and a fault in the 16-way electric tilt seat system can cause the airbag to deploy without warning or fail to deploy in a crash.
On the electrical side, power supply cables at the starter and alternator may not be properly secured, which can cause an electrical arc and raise the risk of a fire under the hood. There is also a door latch concern: shorter-than-intended striker bolts may allow doors to swing open in a crash, raising the risk of occupant injury.
