NHTSA 5-Star Safety Rating
Complaints for the 2015 Lincoln Navigator are spread across several systems, with no single issue dominating the way it might on higher-volume models. Powertrain is the most-cited category, though the narratives are thin at four reports and don't point to a single repeating symptom. The electrical system draws three complaints, with the most specific pattern being a burning or melted-wire smell coming from the front passenger area, which owners say intensifies with extended running and worsens when the HVAC is active. Engine complaints account for two reports. Outside the main categories, owners also describe a second-row seat latch that fails to hold the seat to the floor, and a telescoping steering column button that stops functioning, leaving the wheel stuck in a fixed position.

By System
The 2015 Lincoln Navigator has 5 recalls, the most serious being a fire risk from the LED logo lights built into the exterior mirrors, which can short circuit even while the vehicle is parked and the engine is off.
The front blower motor, located behind the glove box, can also fail in a way that raises the risk of an interior fire. On the visibility side, the rearview camera can display a blank, distorted, or inverted image when the vehicle is in reverse, reducing the driver's view of what is behind the vehicle. Prior repair attempts did not fully resolve this camera issue, which is why it appears more than once in the recall record.
