2025 LUCID AIR Recalls Canada & USA – Major League Recalls
2025 LUCID AIR Recalls — Canada & USA
Summary
The 2025 Lucid Air has 5 recalls, the most serious affecting Pure Rear-Wheel Drive models where the half-shaft can disconnect from the drive unit or a strained wiring harness can cut power to the rear motor, causing a sudden and complete loss of drive power.
Two separate issues on Pure RWD models can produce the same result: loose bolts allow the half-shaft to detach, or an undersized rear wiring harness pulls tight under load and breaks its electrical connection, either way leaving the vehicle without propulsion while moving. The remaining recalls involve the rearview camera, and both apply depending on which software version is installed. On certain vehicles running software versions from 2.8.0 through 2.8.16 with the AD02 package, the camera image may not appear at all when shifted into reverse. On vehicles running software older than 2.8.0, the lower console display may either fail to show the camera feed or show a delayed image that does not accurately reflect what is directly behind the car.
Lucid USA, Inc. (Lucid) is recalling certain 2024-2026 Air vehicles equipped with Pure Rear-Wheel Drive. Improperly secured bolts may allow the half-shaft to disconnect from the drive unit.
Safety Risk
A disconnected half shaft can result in a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Lucid will remove and install new bolts, free of charge. Owner notification letters are scheduled to be mailed May 22, 2026. Owners may contact Lucid at 1-888-995-8243. Lucid's number for this recall is SR-26-03-0. This recall is an expansion of previous NHTSA recall number 25V669.

As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."
Safety Risk
A rearview image that does not display reduces the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
