2010 Mazda B Series

The 2010 Mazda B Series has 3 recalls, the most serious being a passenger-front airbag inflator that can rupture during deployment and send fragments into the cabin.

The airbag defect stems from long-term exposure to heat and humidity degrading the inflator propellant over time, and it affects the passenger side. On 2.3L engine models, a fuel line near the throttle body shield can rub against the shield's edge if a protective cover was not installed correctly at the factory. That friction slowly wears through the fuel line and can result in a fuel leak near hot engine components. The third recall involves the parking brake: in cold weather, if the rear brake shoes freeze to the drum, releasing the parking brake pedal can cause the right rear cable to slip off its actuating lever. Once the cable loses contact with the lever, that rear wheel's parking brake is no longer connected and the system loses holding force on that corner.
