The 2020 Mazda CX-30 has 6 recalls, the most serious being a fuel leak risk on all-wheel drive models where a misrouted evaporative vent hose can allow fuel to escape at the rear of the vehicle, creating a fire risk and potentially stalling the engine.
The brake recalls, which also carry high severity, involve front brake caliper mounting bolts that may not have been tightened properly during assembly. Loose bolts can reduce braking performance, and if they fall out entirely, the caliper can contact the wheel rim and cause loss of vehicle control. The remaining recalls cover the power liftgate, which can drop partway from its fully open position when the vehicle is parked on an uphill slope, striking anyone loading or unloading cargo at the rear.
