4 recalls across 7 model years
The McLaren 600LT has 4 recalls spanning 2019 through 2025, with the most serious being a brake line routing defect on 2020-2025 models where the lines are connected to the wrong sides, causing a rear wheel to lock up unexpectedly and the driver to lose control.
On the brake side, 2019 models have a separate issue where a banjo bolt in the brake assembly may be missing the internal holes that supply fluid to the caliper, leaving one corner of the vehicle with no braking force and causing the car to pull sharply to one side under braking.
There are also two coolant leak concerns that can lead to engine bay fires. On 2019-2020 Coupe and Spider models, the joint between the temperature sensor housing and the outboard radiator hose can fail to seal, allowing coolant to drip onto hot engine components. On 2019 models specifically, a second joint between the coolant temperature sensor housing and the coolant pipe can also fail and leak fluid for the same reason.
