3 recalls across 5 model years
The McLaren 720S has 3 recalls covering 2016 through 2020 model years, with the most serious being a brake system defect on 2019-2020 models where a banjo bolt can be missing the fluid-supply holes that feed a caliper, causing complete brake failure at one corner of the vehicle and pulling it sharply to one side under braking.
A separate brake issue affects 2020 models only, where a defective bolt can restrict fluid pressure to a caliper, reducing braking force at one wheel and causing the vehicle to pull left or right when stopping. Both brake defects affect the same corner-level hydraulic delivery but involve different components and year ranges.
Spanning the full 2016-2020 production run, a foam pad beneath the fuel tank can trap moisture and corrode the tank itself, leading to a fuel leak that raises the risk of fire if a heat or ignition source is nearby.
