The 2020 McLaren 720S has 3 recalls, the most serious being two separate brake defects that can each eliminate braking force at one wheel, causing the car to pull sharply to one side or extend stopping distances.
Both brake issues center on the brake caliper supply circuit: in one case, a defective bolt may restrict fluid pressure to a caliper, and in the other, a banjo bolt may be missing the internal passages that deliver brake fluid to the caliper entirely, leaving that corner of the car with no braking at all. Either condition can cause the vehicle to veer during hard braking and raises the risk of a crash. The third recall involves the fuel system, where a foam pad beneath the fuel tank can trap moisture over time, corroding the tank and eventually allowing fuel to leak. If that leak reaches an ignition source, it creates a fire risk.
