The 2021 Mercedes-Benz AMG GLE63 S has 6 recalls, the most serious being an electrical fire risk from a 48-volt ground connection under the passenger seat that can overheat, and a fuel pump that can shut down without warning and cut drive power entirely.
The rear window is also a concern: the glass may not be adequately bonded to the tailgate and can detach while driving, becoming a hazard for vehicles behind. On the structural side, rear door window trim bars can also work loose and fall from the vehicle, posing a similar road hazard. Two recalls affect visibility and driver information: the MBUX multimedia system software can cause the backup camera display to go black or restart during use, leaving the driver with no rear view while reversing. Separately, interior switch illumination can fail, making controls harder to locate and operate in low-light conditions.
