The 2019 Mercedes-Benz AMG GT 63 has 4 recalls, the most serious involving an oil feed line to the turbocharger that can leak onto hot engine or exhaust components and start a fire.
A loose wiring harness for the automatic transmission can chafe against the driveshaft over time and cause the engine to stall unexpectedly. On the safety equipment side, the pre-crash tensioning system and seatbelt pretensioners may fail to deploy in a crash, leaving occupants less restrained at the moment of impact. There is also a latch concern: the center console can pop open in a crash, allowing anything stored inside to fly into the cabin.
