The 2024 Mercedes-Benz C 300 has 3 recalls, the most serious being two separate issues that can cause a sudden loss of drive power while moving, raising the risk of a crash.
One of those power-loss risks comes from the fuel pump, which can shut down without warning and cut engine power entirely. The other stems from an 80-amp fuse that can fail unexpectedly, and depending on which circuit it controls, the result can be either a loss of drive power or the failure of critical systems including the airbags and instrument cluster. There is also a front seat belt concern: the driver-side seat belt cover may not be properly secured over the tensioner, which can allow the seat belt anchor to come loose. A loose anchor means the belt may not hold an occupant in place during a crash, reducing the protection the restraint system is designed to provide.
