4 recalls across 3 model years
The Mercedes-Benz EQE 350 4MATIC has 4 recalls covering 2023-2025 model years, with the most serious being a steering coupling bolt that may not have been properly tightened, allowing the coupling to work loose from the steering rack and causing loss of steering control on 2023-2025 vehicles.
The 2023 model year carries two additional electrical concerns. An incorrect fuse box installed during a prior repair attempt can cause a sudden loss of drive power or disable safety systems including the airbags and instrument cluster. On the 2024 model year, a battery management software fault can also cut drive power without warning, again raising the risk of a crash. There is also a software issue with the pedestrian alert system on 2023-2025 vehicles, where the tone the car emits while reversing can be incorrect and fail to warn pedestrians that the vehicle is moving toward them.
