4 recalls across 3 model years
The Mercedes-Benz EQE 350 4MATIC has 4 recalls covering 2023-2025 model years, with the most serious being a steering coupling bolt that may not have been tightened correctly on 2023-2025 vehicles, allowing the coupling to work loose from the steering rack and cause a sudden loss of steering control.
The 2024 model year has a separate issue where battery management software can cut drive power without warning, leaving the vehicle unable to accelerate in traffic. Also affecting 2023 models, vehicles that received an earlier fuse box repair under a prior recall may have had an incorrect fuse box installed, which can cause a sudden loss of drive power or disable the airbags and instrument cluster. Across 2023-2025 models, a software issue in the pedestrian alert system can produce the wrong warning sound when reversing, reducing the chance that pedestrians nearby will recognize the vehicle is moving toward them.
