The 2025 Mercedes-Benz G 580 has two recalls, the more serious being wheel bolts that may have been incorrectly installed and can allow a wheel to loosen or fully detach while driving, raising the risk of a crash. The second recall involves a front short-range radar sensor circuit board that can fail, disabling automatic emergency braking, active brake assist, lane keeping assist, and the Distronic adaptive cruise control system. With those systems offline, the vehicle will not automatically brake or intervene in a potential collision the way the driver may expect.
