The 2025 Mercedes-Benz G Class has 3 recalls, the most serious affecting electric models where wheel bolts may not have been properly tightened and can loosen over time, potentially causing a wheel to destabilize the vehicle and lead to a crash.
The remaining two recalls relate to electronic systems. A software issue in the stability control unit can cause warning messages to display incorrectly and may prevent the malfunction indicator light from turning on when it should, which could confuse the driver about the vehicle's condition. There is also a sensor concern on certain vehicles where a front bumper short-range sensor was not manufactured correctly, disabling driver assistance features including adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, and lane keeping assist.
