The 2011 Mercedes-Benz R350 has 3 recalls, the most serious being a driver's frontal airbag inflator that can rupture in a crash and send metal fragments into the cabin, risking serious injury to the driver or passengers.
The remaining two recalls both describe the same brake booster defect and should be treated as one issue. Moisture can build up inside the brake booster housing and cause corrosion, which reduces the unit's ability to assist with braking. In a situation where firm, fast braking is needed, the pedal may feel harder to press and stopping distances can increase, or braking power can fail entirely.
