The 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQE 350 4MATIC has 5 recalls, the most serious involving a steering coupling bolt that may not be properly tightened, allowing the steering to loosen from the rack and causing a loss of steering control.
A second high-severity recall covers 80-amp fuses that can fail unexpectedly, cutting drive power or disabling critical systems including the airbags and instrument cluster. On the structural side, energy-absorbing inserts in the roof frame may not be secured properly and can break free during a side curtain airbag deployment, striking occupants in the cabin. The wheel rim inserts on certain vehicles can detach while driving, creating a hazard for other vehicles on the road. There is also a software recall affecting the high-voltage battery monitoring system, which may fail to alert the driver when the battery develops a fault.
