The roof panel concern appears in two related recalls. The front panel between the windshield and panoramic sunroof can separate from the vehicle if its adhesive bonding deteriorates, and a second recall addresses the same detachment risk specifically on vehicles where a prior repair was attempted but may not have been bonded correctly. In both cases, a panel coming loose at speed poses a hazard to other vehicles on the road. On the steering side, pins inside the electric power steering control unit can lose their connection, cutting off the assisted steering and leaving the driver with much higher steering effort, particularly at low speeds or during parking maneuvers. A software recall covers the airbag control system, where a fault can cause airbags to fail to deploy as intended in a crash, reducing occupant protection at the moment it matters most. Rounding out the list, a separate software fault affects the vehicle's automatic emergency call system, which can report an incorrect date, time, and location to emergency services, potentially sending responders to the wrong place after a crash.
