The Mercedes-Benz Tourrider Premium has 5 recalls covering 2022 through 2026 model years, with the most serious being a missing seat backrest bracket on 2022-2025 vehicles that can allow the driver's seat to fold forward in a crash, raising the risk of injury.
On 2022-2024 models equipped with BraunAbility wheelchair lifts, the outer barrier on the lift platform can deploy unexpectedly, which can prevent the platform from securely holding a wheelchair and puts lift occupants at risk. Those same model years also have 120-volt passenger outlets that can come loose from their housings and detach, creating a shock hazard for passengers.
Two recalls center on emergency exit access. On 2022-2024 vehicles, the roof hatch handle can break, blocking or slowing escape through that exit in an emergency. On 2026 models, a door control valve can fail to release its self-holding mechanism, leaving a door unable to open and potentially trapping passengers when a quick exit is needed.
