The 2023 Mercedes-Benz Tourrider Premium has 4 recalls, with the most serious involving a wheelchair lift that can deploy its outer barrier unexpectedly, potentially failing to retain a wheelchair on the platform and raising the risk of injury to lift users.
On the seating side, the driver's seat backrest may be missing a bracket that holds it upright, and in a crash the backrest can fold forward onto the driver. The 120-volt passenger outlets may not be properly secured and can detach from their housings, exposing live electrical contacts that can shock passengers. The fourth recall involves the roof hatch emergency handle, which can break and prevent or delay occupants from exiting the vehicle when they need to.
