The 2008 Nissan Frontier has 3 recalls, the most serious involving the driver's airbag cover emblem, which can crack and break loose during deployment and become a projectile inside the cabin.
The fuel system also has a recall: the fuel tank can deform in a way that causes the fuel sender float arm to contact the tank wall, making the gauge read roughly a quarter tank when the tank is actually empty. This can cause the engine to stall unexpectedly in traffic. There is also a labeling recall where the tire placard overstates the vehicle's actual load capacity, which can lead to overloading and affect handling.
