The 2025 Nissan Kicks has 8 recalls, the most serious being a missing "Shift-to-Park" warning that can allow the vehicle to roll away after the ignition is switched off if the transmission is left out of Park.
Two separate display-related issues round out the instrument cluster concerns: a software error can cause the instrument cluster to go partially or fully blank at startup, leaving the driver without a speedometer, warning lights, or gear position information, and a separate software problem can cause the center display to show a blank screen when the vehicle is shifted into reverse, eliminating the rearview camera image. There is also a label issue affecting some vehicles: the certification label may list incorrect weight ratings, which can lead to overloading and poor handling or tire failure, and on certain SR trim models with the optional 19-inch wheel package, the label may also show the wrong tire and rim sizes.
