What can fail
Road salt can corrode the front coil springs after the protective paint coating wears away. Corrosion pits can form on the springs, which may cause them to break. A broken spring could escape its seat and puncture the tire, leading to loss of control.
What the fix does
Front coil springs will be replaced with springs coated in zinc phosphate for corrosion protection.
