The 2021 Nissan Versa has 3 recalls, the most serious being a power steering fault where an intermittent electrical connection in the steering torque sensor can cut out the power assist, making the wheel significantly harder to turn, particularly at low speeds.
The front turn signals round out the recall list. One or both of the front turn signal bulbs can develop cracks and stop illuminating, leaving the vehicle unable to signal a turn to oncoming drivers or pedestrians crossing an intersection. This failure may not be immediately obvious to the driver since the indicator light inside the cabin can behave differently depending on whether the bulb is fully failed or intermittently working.
